It’s a new year full of new opportunities! In this vlog, I talk about some of my plans for 2017 including international travel with Simply Priceless (aka Johnny) and the continued development of my talented mustangs, Fledge, Rune, and Hwin.
A flashback to the 2016 Florida Extreme Mustang Makeover, where I supported all the excellent trainer including Stan Smith and Rebecca Bowman. It was a great weekend, during which I was also able to do a demo with Fledge and Rune.
After celebrating my husband’s graduation with an Ph.D. from Emory University, I welcome a new off the track thoroughbred to Rock Creek Farms. Indiana Chrome (aka ‘Indy’) has a nice body type that really caught my eye. Really looking forward to seeing what this OTTB can do.
On farrier day, Arlequin gets some shoes, and Ozzie hangs out to get used to the commotion.
It’s been a hugely busy and productive week! Johnny did great in the Advance Combined Training division in Ocala last weekend, and our time with the O’Connors is really paying off on our road to Rolex. It was a lot of fun having the mustangs in Ocala as well, and giving my friends Katy Long and Daniela Moguel a chance to play with Rune and Fledge.
Kyle Carter and Buck Davidson said some really nice things about me and Johnny during a recent episode of “The sort of OK show about horses with Buck and Kyle.” I also take the opportunity to discuss how I have adjusted Johnny’s feeding routine in the weeks leading up to Rolex.
Putting in some milage on Corteo and witnessing some serious mustang antics from goober-head Rune. As I drive down to Ocala, I explain a little bit about my love for mustangs, and why I ceased my breeding program to dedicate myself to the promotion of mustang adoption. Oh, and I also get an MRI on my broken foot and quench my thirst with some delicious pickle juice.
My first vlog! Learn about my feeding philosophy and get introduced to mustangs Arlequin and Emit.
