A quick pit stop back at the farm and then back to Virginia to train in advance of Great Meadows later this week. I was super excited to see that my new One K helmets had arrived, as well as my new barn shoes!
Johnny is doing great! Totally spoiled, and he pulled a shoe (horses will be horses), but we’re looking forward to some training with David O’Connor before what I hope will be a fantastic outing over the weekend.
Oh, and here’s a handy trick that my Dad taught me that will help you to pack your horse’s ice boots faster and without freezing your fingers off.
