I am thrilled to announce that “The Corsair Syndicate” has been renamed “The Sukup Corsair Syndicate” in recognition of majority owners, Steve and Vicki Sukup.

The Sukup’s journey in equestrian sport began as members of the Simply Priceless Syndicate. Witnessing my incredible partnership with Simply Priceless, they saw us conquer 17 FEI events, including a top-20 finish at our debut at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event in 2015 and a top-10 finish the following year in addition to our placing as top American and rookie pair at Burghley in 2016, where we finishing 14th.

Building on their passion for equine excellence, Steve and Vicki expanded their involvement by supporting Mo Donegal, a horse that clinched victory in the prestigious Belmont Stakes in 2022. This accomplishment deepened the Sukup’s commitment to the world of equestrian sport and their desire to contribute to its triumphs.

Steve Sukup is the CEO of Sukup Manufacturing, a renowned agricultural equipment company based in Iowa. He has played a pivotal role in steering Sukup Manufacturing towards innovation and success. From 1995 to 2003, he also served in the Iowa House of Representatives. 

Vicki Sukup is owner of K & B Emporium — a premier cafe and retail stor in Clear Lake, IA — and serves on the board of directors for Mercy One, an American non-profit system of hospitals, clinics, and health care facilities in the U.S. states of Iowa, Nebraska and surrounding communities

Together, their community spirit and commitment to excellence in business, public service, and agriculture (including their ambassadorship in the equestrian world) are fully aligned to the values that I strive to bring to my horses and sport every day. 

Since my partnership with Renkum Corsair (aka Caz) in 2021, we have consistently finished in the top 5, and were recognized as USEF National CCI-3*/Champions in 2022. We were also on the Developing Training List in 2023. 

The fact that Steve and Vicki are lending their name to the Sukup Corsair Syndicate signals their confidence in the ability and long term success of this incredible horse. I am incredibly grateful for all the support they have given me since 2015, and am blessed to have their support as Caz and I work together to represent the USA on the international stage.
