My vlog this week is a little longer than usual, but I wanted to talk through the rides of each of my horses: Simply Priceless in the CIC 3 Star division and Riot Gear in the CIC 2 Star.
Johnny was quite tense and pretty unimpressed with the atmosphere at Red Hills, so it took a lot of work to keep the Black Dragon contained. Given his performance in dressage, I decided to complete the show jump phase but withdraw before cross country to save some miles going into Carolina and Kentucky in the next few weeks.
Riot Gear is really different from Johnny, and rarely gets tense in the dressage ring. We were third going into cross country and finished out the competition in 8th place.
